Suba S1 compared to Pro
I really like the Scuba S1 but the Max has several bennits which put it on top of the Aiper lineup as well as the competion.Double the battery life.Better filtration and suction, the basket catches much smaller debris. On the previous units is the hard wire changing point can get damp which could lead to corrosion. The Pro comes with induction charging. No exposure. The craddle and charger is included, you dont need to purchase separately. You also dont need to purchase the scimmer. Taking these areas into account makes the Pro a better investment.

Great product!
This robot is awesome. I had a smaller version for a year and it lasted well so I upgraded to this one. The best part about this one is that it maps the pool and saves it. You can put it on a schedule so it cleans the pool ever day or so on its own. The charging station is also a big improvement. You just drop it on the charger and there is no need to plug in or even turn it on/off. Highly recommend!

Manual
I wish it would have come with a better operating manual

Causes Crystal Clear Pools!!
Impressive product that I purchased to replace my Polaris. No more hose in the pool that was tangling with my skimmer. Super customer service was fantastic. Only thing that could make it better would be if it was solar capable to recharge the battery highly recommend.

Excellent Pool Cleaning Robot
The Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max is an excellent pool cleaning robot. There are two reasons I did not give it a five-star review, though it has nothing to do with its ability to clean the pool. More about those reasons in a minute.I also have an Aiper Scuba S1 which does a very good job. The Pro Max, however, surpasses it in battery strength, suction and the ability to also skim the surface of the pool. I had been contemplating a stand-alone skimmer but decided on the Pro Max because it combined that function in a machine that is more powerful and has more sophisticated adaptive technology than the Scuba S1. It also is supported by an app which is great but be aware that to use the app to communicate with the robot when it is under water, you will need to purchase a separate Hydrocomm module which is a significant additional expense. You can, however, get full use of the machine without that underwater communication so whether you opt to purchase it is up to you. If you want to change the machine’s cleaning mode in the middle of its operation, that module is necessary. If you don’t intend to do that, you can probably get by without the module and extra expense. The two reasons I rated this as four stars instead of five are, one, the cost. This is a fairly pricey machine as are the top products from competitors. My Scuba S1 does a pretty good job of cleaning so if you don’t care about the surface skimming and want to save a few bucks, Aiper makes good, less expensive models. The second reason is the weight. The better battery, additional pumps and technology make the Scuba X1 Pro Max significantly heavier than, say, the Scuba S1. It’s a beast. It is even heavier when pulling it from the water as the unit needs to drain. A smaller or older person might find that to be problematic. Consider this when contemplating buying. If I put aside my two caveats, this is an excellent machine and using it every other day keeps my pool perfectly clean.Update: I have raised my review to five stars since the Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max really does an outstanding job with its core cleaning function. My caveats remain but this robot really does perform well.

A Revolutionary and Highly Effective Pool Cleaner
The media could not be loaded.
The Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max is a truly remarkable piece of technology that has fundamentally transformed my pool maintenance routine. From the moment it was deployed, the robot’s intelligent pool mapping and powerful suction were immediately apparent, leaving my pool’s floor and walls spotless with an efficiency that is second to none. The unit navigates my pool with an impressive precision, ensuring no missed spots, and its ability to climb and scrub the walls is fantastic. I am particularly impressed with the Smart Surface Parking feature, which makes retrieving the robot an effortless task, completely eliminating the struggle of pulling a heavy unit out of the water. This is truly a hands-off cleaning solution that delivers exceptional results. While the robot’s performance is flawless, I do have one minor cosmetic observation. The glossy black finish of the unit, while sleek and modern, is unfortunately not very scratch-resistant. After it got stuck for a short period behind the pool stairs, it sustained some visible scuffs. However, this is purely a superficial issue and has not impacted the robot’s exceptional performance or functionality in any way. The Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max has proven to be a reliable and highly efficient cleaner that is well worth the investment, and I am completely satisfied with its ability to maintain a pristine pool with minimal effort.

Aiper Support Shines, But the X1 Max Pro Falls Short
The media could not be loaded.
I purchased the Aiper X1 Max Pro with great passion, as I’ve been an Aiper customer for years and have always been impressed with the S1. My S1 still does a great job cleaning my pool – with a few minor downsides – so I felt confident upgrading to this new model. I couldn’t wait for it to arrive, and the moment it did, I set it up right away. The setup process was straightforward. I updated the firmware to the latest version and tested all the available cleaning modes on the same day. At first, the robot seemed to work okay. It handled the general pool floor decently, although I noticed it didn’t really clean the stairs and only occasionally managed to climb up to the sun tanning ledge. Within a week, however, it went from underperforming to almost completely failing its job. Now it simply moves back and forth in small areas or spins in circles without covering the pool properly.I tried every troubleshooting step I could: cleaning the basket and valves, restarting the system, even double-checking for obstructions – but nothing fixed the issue. For a premium-priced product, this was disappointing.Pros:- Attractive, sleek design – it really looks like a high-end machine.- Fast charging compared to older models.- When working, it moves with power and looks promising.- Aiper’s customer support is absolutely outstanding – probably the best I’ve ever dealt with. It’s miles ahead of other manufacturers in this space, and I’ve tested many robotic cleaners before ultimately choosing Aiper.- Robot docking is top notch and works flawlessly.Cons:- Bulky and heavy to handle, especially when lifting it out of the pool.- Pool mapping/navigation is not as accurate as expected for this price range.- Battery lasts only 2 to 3 hours depending on the mode (not much improvement over older models).- Stairs cleaning is virtually nonexistent, despite being advertised as a feature.- Reliability is a serious concern — mine stopped working after just one week of use.- Pool navigation and Wi-Fi communication with the robot are still lacking. You need to purchase an additional (and expensive) tool in order to control the robot while it’s in the water. Even then, the app itself does not provide manual control, which would be a great feature to have. If Aiper could find a way to keep the connection stable in water – it would eliminate the need for extra hardware and make the system much more practical.Overall, I wanted this to be the next big step from Aiper, but it feels unfinished and unreliable. I still love the Aiper brand because of the S1, and the X1 Max Pro shows promise with its design, docking, and the incredible customer support backing it. Unfortunately, the inconsistent performance, lack of robust connectivity, and reliability issues make it hard to recommend at this stage, especially given the premium price.

Misleading
Has good suction and easy to setup/use. Doesn’t map the pool well and the battery doesn’t last like claimed. Doesn’t do stairs very well at all.
